Two Bald Eaglettes Hatched in Two Harbors
Two baby Bald Eaglettes hatched without intervention in the Two Harbors nest above Catalina Harbor on Catalina Island! The first hatched on March 26th and the second on March 28th. This is a first for this nest since the DDT dumping in the 70’s decimated the population. Everyone is very excited as this proves that we can reverse the damage of pollution with desire and perseverance.
Please read all about the project conducted by the Institute for Wildlife Studies lead by Dr. Peter Sharpe at www.iws.org .
