The Catalina Way. An Insider's Guide to Catalina Island

Mark your calendars and join us on the beach on Saturday, September 19th in Two Harbors at the isthmus on Catalina Island for the 2009 Catalina Island Micro-brew Festival. Enjoy unlimited sampling of some of the finest micro-brews and a variety of appetizers. The Yvone Perea band will be performing live music throughout the event and a silent auction will be held to benefit the charitable activities of the Avalon Lions Club.

The festival will take place from 1-4 PM, or until whenever we run out of fun. For tickets and more more information call 310-510-4205.

Transportation to the Brew-Fest:  From the mainland, the Catalina Express offers daily service from San Pedro and the Marina Del Rey Flyer offers daily service from Marina Del Rey.  From Avalon, the Catalina Island Conservancy runs a bus shuttle service to Two Harbors several times a day. (310-510-2800)  Also from Avalon, Two Harbors Enterprises’ Garabaldi will be making a special trip just for the Brew Fest. Call 310-510-4205 for tickets and information.

And, there are countless locals making the journey by land or sea. Get your hitching thumb fired up and hang out on the pier or at the hogs back gate!
