The Catalina Way. An Insider's Guide to Catalina Island

Spend the day outdoors Saturday October 24th in the warm Catalina Island sunshine listening to great live music.  The Festival of World Music 2009 kicks off at 11am tomorrow at the Field of Dreams in Avalon.  The festival is brought to you by the Catalina Island Performing Arts Foundation and promises a day of music, food, games, crafts, art, fun and more.  Featured bands include Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds, Skelpin, Lula Almeida & AfroBrazil, Jessica Fichot, American Primitive and Blackjack.  Tickets are available at the Catalina Island Chamber of Commerce, 310.510.1520, the Casino Art Gallery, 310.510.0808 or at the event.
